Top Things to Do this Week & Weekend, in Houston, with Kids – February 5-11, 2018

Make plans for another great week in Houston, with kids!  Here are the top things to do for Monday through Sunday, February 5-11, 2018.

You can also find the full list of events HERE!

1.  On Tuesday, go to the MFAH Playdate or Family Storybook Circle at Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

2.  On Wednesday, take the little ones to Mommy Mingle at the Children’s Museum of Houston Tot Spot.  Kids under 3 can play and care takers can have coffee and breakfast.

3.  On Thursday, go to the museum district for Free Museum Entry.

4.  On Friday, go to Hello, Trees! at Discovery Green.  This weekend you can enjoy PAUSE.  Professional singers will be at each input and will sing to each other and the trees. Special guest performances will be happening around the installation as people are encouraged to disconnect, then connect with their surroundings through this modern meditative performance.

5.  On Saturday, take the family to Graeme’s Run at No Label Brewing Co.  After the 5K and family run there will be beer, food trucks, live music, bounce houses, face painting and more.

6.  On Saturday, take the bigger kids to Young Writers Workshop at Discovery Green.

7.  On Sunday, Walk on the Wild Side at Nature Discovery Center.  Sneak up on lizards, peer through a spotting scope for close up looks at honey bees or birds, search for colorful spring flowers, spy on the secret life of animals that hide under logs, and investigate.

8.  On Sunday, take your kids to Holes by Main Street Theater at MATCH.  This production is put on by professional actors and is meant for families.  For this show, it is recommended for 5th grade and older… but anyone who has read the book or seen the movie would probably like it!
