1.  On Monday, go see the Sugar Land Skeeters vs New Britain Bees or the Astros vs Athletics!

2.  On Tuesday, go to the last Two for Tuesday (BOGO Free Admission) at the Downtown Aquarium.

3.  On Thursday, go to Free Museum Entry in the Museum District!

4.-5.  On Saturday, go to the  Young Writers Workshop and Learn a Language at Discovery Green!

6.  On Saturday, stop by one of our favorite events… Hands On Houston at the Craft Museum!  This month your can make your own glass lens paperweight.  Just swing by to make your free project.

7.  On Saturday, kick off the September series of Super Saturday (BOGO Free Admission) at the Downtown Aquarium.

8.  On Sunday, participate in the new Family Yoga at Discovery Green!

9.  On Labor Day, take the family to Labor Day at Rienzi at the Museum of Fine Arts House Museum.

The world’s largest Renaissance Festival has weekend themes of Oktoberfest, 1001 Dreams, Pirate Adventure, All Hallows Eve, Roman Bacchanal, Barbarian Invasion, Highland Fling and Celtic Christmas.

Free with zoo admission.  Wear your costumes and stop by the stations throughout the zoo.  Pumpkins, candy, mazes and more.  If possible, go on Friday mornings and beat the crowds!

Energy Day 2016 – October 15, 2016 – Sam Houston Park – 1000 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002
Energy Day is a free, family-friendly festival that celebrates and highlights the importance of energy and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in our daily lives. There will be a variety of interactive energy exhibits and booths, live music, food, contests and fun for all ages.  Geared toward K-12 students.

KBR Kids Day on Buffalo Bayou – October 15, 2016 – The Water Works – 105 Sabine Street, Houston, TX 77007
Free. Live music, entertainment, hands on activities! You can also explore the new Barbara Fish Daniel Nature Play Area, ride in BBP’s pontoon boat Spirit of the Bayou, and rent bikes or paddle crafts.

On Thursday, enjoy Free Museum Entry all over the Museum District.  On Saturday and Sunday, head back to the Children’s Museum to see Curious George Appearance!

On Sunday, go to Downtown’s Theater District for the annual Theater District Open House.  This popular family friendly, and free, event includes live performances and backstage tours.

Also on Sunday, go see Texans Preseason (vs Arizona Cardinals) at NRG Stadium. (Be sure to check affiliate Goldstar for discount tickets.)
