Things to do in Houston today, and this weekend, with kids! September 29, 30, October 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 2016

It’s Fall!  Go HERE to plan your Houston Fall 2016 Festivals, Farm & Pumpkin Patch visits!

This weekend, head to Hands On Houston at the Craft Museum to make Indigo-dyed Bandannas.  All ages are welcome to make their own… just stop by!

You can also welcome the autumn harvest and full moon at the Family Day: Mid-Autumn Festival at the Asia Society.  The free event includes Taiwanese storytelling, lantern-making, performances and mooncakes!

If you want to learn basic day hike essentials and where in Houston to find the best hikes, sign up for the Houston Arboretum’s Naturally Wild Families: Hiking Houston.

Next week, take the preschoolers to Discovery Green for Toddler Tuesday: Giraffes Can’t Dance!  The free event includes a story and activity and no registration is needed.  If you want to, bring a gently used book to trade at the book swap!

During the week, you can also take the little ones to School Day Party at Gallery Furniture North Freeway and Grand Parkway.  You can see the animals, jump on the mattresses, make crafts and each lunch.  It’s all free… you just need to reserve your spot!

1. Any day of the week, go HERE to plan your Houston Fall 2016 Festivals, Farm & Pumpkin Patch visits!

2.  On Tuesday, go to Discovery Green for Toddler Tuesday: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!  Enjoy the free storytime and activity… and bring a gently used book to trade at the book swap!

3.  On Wednesday, take the kids to the No Bully Here Music Festival at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

4.  On Thursday, join us for the School Day Party at Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway.  We have free crafts, lunch and fun… you just need to Reserve your spot!

Look ahead to another great week and weekend, in Houston, with kids!

The fall farm fun begins with the Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festivities at Blessington Farms.  Activities include hay rides, giant slides, barrel train rides, pedal cars and animal encounters with camels, Baby Doll sheep, goats and many more. Feed the new Quaker Parrots, explore the Rope Maze and enjoy the Fossil Dig.  All activities are included in the price of admission (except fishing).  Be sure to also go HERE to plan your Houston Fall 2016 Festivals, Farm & Pumpkin Patch visits!

You can also enjoy half price admission tot the Downtown Aquarium.  Print your coupon for Super Saturday (BOGO Free Admission) and get access to the aquarium, the rides and the stingray tank.
