Top 11 Things to Do this Week & Weekend, in Houston, with Kids – August 21-27 2017

So you can look forward to the events, here are the top things to do for Monday through Sunday, August 21-27, 2017!  (Find the full list of events HERE!)

1. & 2.  On Monday, see the Solar Eclipse!  All you need to know is over on Houstonia Magazine.  Head to the Museum of Natural Science in Sugar Land for the The Great American Eclipse or the Lunar + Planetary Institute: Solar Eclipse Viewing at Levy Park.

3. On Tuesday, print the coupon for the Two for Tuesday (Buy One Get One Free) at the Downtown Aquarium.  This gets you into the aquarium and on all the rides… including the stark tank train.

4.  Tuesday through Thursday, cheer for the Astros at Minute Maid Park.

5.  On Thursday, head to the Museum District for free admission.

6.  On Saturday, take your writers to the Young Writers Workshop at Discovery Green.

7.  On Saturday, enjoy the Tiny Kids Concert: Tom’s Fun Band at the Rec Room.

The last Cool Night at the Houston Zoo is this week. Check out Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks and participate in the LEGOlympics. Build, create and race while playing LEGO-themed games and activities.

It’s also the last Zoovie Night of the summer… featuring Batman Lego Movie! And over at Discovery Green is Screen on the Green: Finding Dory.

This weekend, you can also enjoy the Tiny Kids Concert: Houston’s Accordion Squeezy Squad at the Rec Room.
