Top 10 Things to Do this Week & Weekend, in Houston, with Kids – May 15-21, 2017

Each week, we publish the list of things to do for the weekend.  So you can look forward to the events, posted prior to the full list going live, here are the favorites for Monday through Sunday, May 15-21, 2017!

1. On Monday, take the little ones to the Tyke Hike at the Houston Arboretum.

2.  On Tuesday, go to Toddler Tuesday: I Just Forgot ( A Little Critter Book) at Discovery Green. This storytime and activity starts at 10:30am and is free to attend.  Stop by the BigKidSmallCity booth to grab a ticket… and bring an old book to swap for a new one at the book swap!

3.  On Tuesday, try out some hula hooping with the Hustletown Hoopers at Levy Park.

4.  On Thursday, listen to Stories Under the Sun, hosted by the Houston Public Library, at Levy Park.

5.  On Thursday, stay up late (if you are up for it) and watch Freaky Friday on the lawn at Levy Park.

6.  On Friday, get outside and enjoy the Children’s Story Hour at Hermann Park.

7.  On Saturday, party at the The Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center’s First Birthday Bash.  (Your Children’s Museum membership works here!)

8.  On Saturday, ride the little trains at the HALS Free Train Rides at Zube Park.  (Just know that it could be a long wait if it’s busy!)

9.  On Saturday, try out Houston Ballet at the Preschool Open House.  Tour the largest professional dance facility in America, participate in a Q&A with Academy instructors and watch a demonstration of the Professional Program.

10.  On Sunday, walk or bike down the middle of the busy street… with Cigna Sunday Streets Houston in Brays Oaks.
