Things to do in Houston today, this weekend, with kids! February 27, 28, March 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 2014

Fountain and Buildings from Discovery Green
This events list takes us from now to Houston’s first Spring Break: February 27 through March 7!  Go here for events March 8-14 and here for events March 15-23!

From the long list of things to do this week, it appears that we have hit the Spring season!  The Young Writers Workshop returns to Discovery Green, A Year with Frog and Toad opens at Main Street Theater and the Rodeo Parade comes back to town this Saturday!

Also on Saturday is the monthly Hands-On Houston event at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft.  Head over to this free event to make your own engraved glass pendants & scratch art.

On every day except Monday, you can head to Detective Days at Bayou Bend.  This scavenger hunt covers the giant gardens and kids love to run through the trails, cross the many bridges and find the items on the list.

And finally, if you need stuff for your kids, and you want it for cheap, head to this community garage sale on Saturday.  (But if there is a pogo stick, it’s all mine.)

Look below for the full list of things to do.  Go HERE to get this list delivered to your inbox each week.
