Things to do in Houston today, this weekend and over winter break, with kids! January 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 2014

Houston Zoo Lights 2013Happy New Year!  Here are the Houston events for January 2 through January 8!  For things to do through January 1, go HERE.

The Ice at Discovery Green is still open and a lot of fun.  Cheap Skate Monday returns after the Winter Break (January 13) but you can still skate for $12.  On Friday nights, you can catch a movie and skate at the same time.  Just be sure to check the website before going, because Houston weather often forces the schedule to change.

The Holiday Train at Hermann Park is open until January 5 and Zoo Lights goes through January 4.  If you haven’t visited yet, be sure to go soon!

Hands-On Houston returns to the Craft Museum on Saturday, January 4.  This event is always free, and this month they are making wire wrapped bracelets.

Look below for the full list of events and go HERE to get it delivered to your inbox each week.
