Mike Lunceford, HoustonISD Trustee District V, Tells Houston Kids what He Likes About Houston

Mike Lunceford for HISD Trustee District VHouston is a big city but the more we know about it, the smaller it feels. In an effort to better understand the local government, the BigKidSmallCity crew spent the election season meeting the people involved.

Now we want to congratulate Mike Luncford on his re-election to the HoustonISD Board!

The kids (ages 4-7) interviewed him to find out what he likes about Houston.  Read on to see what he thinks about our great city!

1.  What do you like to do in Houston?

I like to run around Rice U and Herman Park, watch the Texans and play golf.

2.  What is your favorite thing about Houston?

There are a lot of very good places to eat and the weather is normally nice in the winter time and you can still do things outside in January.

3. What is your favorite Houston annual event?

My family and I are runners, we like to run the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving together and I run the Houston Half Marathon every year in January.
