Books for Kids to Read – Press Here

It’s Felicia with the latest book review! Today we are reviewing Press Here!

So both of my girls are too old for this book, but I have already put it in my Amazon cart for my third imaginary child.

All kidding aside, I really love this book and remember discovering it when my younger daughter was slightly too old for reading it.

It’s is brilliantly designed for two to four year olds without any flaps, Dora or other cartoon characters, pop ups or annoying music buttons . It is so intriguing, I promise that it will keep any two to four year old fascinated and he or she will instantly beg to be reread the book seven or eight times.

The book is composed of primary colors, small sentences with basic directions centered around a particular dot on a page that does exactly what the commands read.

If the dot says to press here, you should press the dot and turn the page, when you do, your child will be delightfully surprised to see that the dot has doubled in number. Other commands throughout the book invite the reader to rub, shake, tile and even blow on the dot and the dot responds to each action like a magic trick on the following page! It feels interactive like an iPad.

The book is supportive of heavy use and interactions. It has thickly coated pages and the binding is almost library quality. So don’t worry about how many journeys this book will take. This book is a lovely addition to any home library. Here’s a video to preview the book.

Go to Amazon HERE and buy this book, or better yet, shop local and stop by Brazos Bookstore and pick this book up. Mention that you saw it here and receive a discount!
