Things to do in Houston today and this weekend, with kids! August 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 2013

WeLoveHoustonOne more summer break weekend!  Keep it cool at the Houston Zoo.  The zoo is open late on Friday night and has free carousel rides and ice cream.  And on Saturday, there will be snow!

On Saturday, you can also find the BigKidSmallCity crew at Ervan Chew Park Summer Fun Squad.  It is our last of 8 Summer Meet Ups!

If you have a Daniel Tiger fan, head to the Children’s Museum on Saturday.  Or, if quiet and cool is more your style, check out the storytime at Brazos Bookstore.

On Sunday, head Downtown to the Theater District Open House!  Meet the dancers and participate in the free activities!

And finally, if you have young kids, you can enjoy fewer crowds starting Monday.  Houston public schools will be back in session and the tots can rule the Houston hot spots!

Look for the long list of Houston events below and this list of free things to do in Houston any day of the week!
