Things to do in Houston today and this weekend, with kids! July 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 2013

As always, there is a lot to do in Houston!  Check out the full list below.

The Museum of Fine Art has a full line up for families.  All week long you can be a Detective at Bayou Bend.  On Pottery Friday you can also attend the free art making session and tour.  At the Museum of Fine Arts on Binz, you can participate in Art Detectives on free-admission-Thursday and in the Family Zone on Sunday.

Miller Outdoor Theatre has A Chorus Line this weekend and starts the Children’s Hilltop Festival, with 4 children’s performances, on Tuesday.  While you are at Hermann Park, stop by Animals Assembled, Avenue Zoo Performances or Cool Nights at the Zoo and then enter the Grilled Cheese Contest at Pinewood Cafe!

Discovery Green is always a sure bet for fun.  They have added more opportunities to ride the Kayaks on Kinder Lake (now Tuesday through Sunday) along with the Summer Reading Program, Young Writers Workshop, Flea (Market) by Night and much more.

Like the learning opportunities?  The Asia Society is hosting a Family Writing Workshop and Brazos Bookstore is celebrating books all Saturday.  Brazos has the morning Kids Storytime followed by an afternoon of celebrating Hemingway’s Birthday.  And, of course, you can see Alice in Wonderland come to life at Main Street Theater!

Still not sure of what do do?  Check out this list of free things to do in Houston!
