Gift Ideas for Houston Moms and Families

I know it’s only October, but I also know I will blink my eyes and it will be December. If you are looking for some gifts for a Houston mom or family, here are my suggestions.

Of course, I’d love fancy jewelry and a new wardrobe, but the items below can be shared with everyone, can be used all year long, and don’t require mom to constantly clean them up.

For the memberships, keep checking the websites because they frequently go on sale before Christmas.

If the family already has memberships to everywhere in Houston, consider buying a paver at the Houston Zoo or Discovery Green.  The kids will love finding their names each time they are there.

If you’re thinking of something special for mom, consider a Vera Bradley tote bag. It’s cute, washable and useful. Moms can tote clothes, toys, snacks, diapers, laptops and more. Or, if you are shopping for me, buy me a lunch box idea book! I’ve had my eye on Yum-Yum Bento Box and The Lunch Box: Packed with Fun.

Short on money? Offer to babysit while mom and dad go out or go shopping. Just set a specific date and time so your gift is sure to be redeemed.

These are my ideas… what do you think would be a good gift for you or your family?
