“I Love School” Lunch Boxes

At the start of the school year, my son claimed that he hated school.  I accidentally found out that if I made him a cool lunch, he forgot to tell me how much he haaaaaated schoooooooool each morning.  Needless to say, I’ve kept up the cool lunches.

The first lunch of the week was falafil and peppers on a stick.  I used kitchen scissors to trim of the pointed side of the skewers.  When I cleaned out the lunch box afterwards, all I found were sticks, so I’m calling it a good lunch.

Motivated  by my success, for the next lunch, I made Joe a falafil, cheese and pepper star.  I used three skewers and connected them with a pepper.  It was beauuuuutiful.   Joe never commented on how weird it looked.  Or that it didn’t really look like a star.  He just ate the entire lunch and left nothing but sticks.

So the question always is, what fancy lunch will I create next?  Good thing we have a week off for spring break.
