Houston Children’s Festival – March 31, April 1, 2012

The Houston Children’s Festival is this weekend, March 31 and April 1.  The 24th annual festival will be held in Downtown Houston, next to City Hall, and is one of the primary fund-raisers for Child Advocates.  It should increase Downtown’s population by about 50,000 this weekend.

Tickets are $10 at the gate.  If you bring in any 2012 McDonald’s receipt per ticket, your tickets will be $8 each.    Kids 3 and under are free.  (If you don’t have a McDonald’s receipt, consider stopping at the downtown location and picking up something from the dollar menu.)

If you drive, but sure to feed the meter on Saturday before 6:00.  On Sunday, street parking is free.  If you take METRORail, get off at Main Street Square and walk just a few blocks to City Hall.
