Buchanan’s Fall Festival – October 1 – 10:00 – 5:00

Head to The Heights this Saturday for the Buchanan’s Fall Festival. It is 10:00-5:00 on October 1 and a lot of kid’s events are planned, including hayrides, planting and painting.  Buchanan’s is located at 611 East 11th Street, between Heights Blvd. and Studewood St.

10:00-11:00 – Planning your Winter Garden with Gary Edmondson, Director of Education at Urban Harvest. Gardeners in Houston can harvest a bounty of vegetables even through our so-called winter months. This class will get you ready to do it all on your own.  Please RSVP online now for this free event.

11:00-1:00 – Randy Lemmon, KTRH GardenLine Meet Randy, get gardening advice and some free product samples too!

10:00-5:00 – Urban Harvest Kids Activity Booth with Carol Burton, Director of Youth Education at Urban Harvest. Hands-on planting demonstrations. Kids can plant lettuce, parsley or dill in a pot to take home. Pumpkin painting. Kids can decorate a free mini pumpkin to take home.

11:00-4:00 – Have lunch on us. Free hot dogs & drinks

Plus live music and hayrides.
