Our Review:   White Linen Nights is “Sultry, steamy, exotic, artfully provocative” and kid friendly.  Right at 6:00, we were able to find street parking and plenty of strollers walking down the street.  As it got later, it became more crowded and the audience got  older.

White Linen Nights originated in New Orleans and started as a way for businesses to connect with the community.  After Hurricane Katrina, many business owners and artists came to The Heights.  This brought about White Linen Nights in Houston.  Be sure to wear white so you fit in on the street.  (Of course, my son decided he needed to dress like Diego and my daughter decided she really needed to wear the red heart dress, so we did not fit in so well!)

Walking down 19th Street was the easiest with our stroller, because it was closed to traffic.  That said, there is a lot going on all over The Heights.  Check out the full map HERE.  We enjoyed stopping at the booths, listening to the bands and taking a break under the big water mist tent.

We’ll be headed back next year for sure.
